Since embarking on his first touring adventure alongside Grammy-winning vocalist Diane Schuur straight out of college, Patrick Lamb, a versatile saxophonist and vocalist, has left an indelible mark on countless lives. Balancing dual roles as both an artist and sideman, he's crisscrossed the globe with luminaries like Bobby Caldwell, Gino Vannelli, and Jeff Lorber Fusion, all while forging a successful solo career. With five albums and three Top 5 hits on the Billboard chart under his belt, including the acclaimed "Soul Ties". Patrick's musical prowess continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Hailing from Mississippi but now calling Palm Beach Florida home, Patrick's achievements are as diverse as his musical style. He holds the distinction of being one of the youngest inductees into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and has been honored with the Independent Spirit Award from his adopted city. Recognized for his blues mastery with three Muddy Awards, he's also earned accolades for his contributions to the community, with his production company receiving both the Spirit of Portland and the Caring Heart Award.
Yet, Patrick's journey is far from over. Fueled by his philosophy of transforming trials into triumphs, he embarked on a new musical venture, teaming up with legendary guitarist Michael Thompson for The Thompson/Lamb Project. Michael Thompson is one of the most recorded guitarists of all time credits including David Foster, Cher, Celine Dion, and Shania Twain Their debut single, "Cocoa Butter," is a tropical escape from today's uncertainties, featuring acclaimed musicians like John Robinson, Philippe Saisse, and Nathan East.
His commitment to music as a source of solace stems from his upbringing, where constant moves and a love for music were constants. From his early days playing alongside jazz greats to his ongoing dedication to community service, Patrick's journey is a testament to the transformative power of music and the human spirit.
